Supported the Malaysian Team in the World Squash Championship, Chennai
6th-12th December 2007, Chennai. Putera members supported the Malaysian team in 21st ICL Men’s Team Squash Championship and also sent 2 of our members as a volunteer to assist in the championship.
Putera MIC, a brainchild of Dato’ Seri S. Samy Vellu, was founded in 2007. It is a wing of the Malaysian Indian Congress, MIC, targeted at recruiting capable Indian youth aged 18 to 30. Putera MIC consists of some 3000 members, and counting. Most of our members are young professionals, graduates and entrepreneurs. Putera MIC provides an avenue for these capable individuals to contribute to society at large, and the Indian community in particular. Our focus is in the areas of education, entrepreneurship and social betterment.
The National Chief of PuteraMIC, Mr.P.Kamalanathan PJK has appointed Mr.E.Venkates Rao on the 15th of May 2007 to set up an unit in India under the Malaysian Association of South India to enable Malaysian Indian students in Chennai / South India to play a positive role in nation building and also to assist Malaysian students who are in need. To date we have about 165 members in the region of Tamil Nadu / South India.
